Razi Vaccine & Serum Research Institute received the license from the Iran Veterinary Organization (IVO) to begin mass production of its “Bivalent Live Newcastle and Infectious Bronchitis Vaccine (Clone12IR H-120)”. Dr. Shahin Masoudi, Head of the Bronchitis and Encephalomyelitis Vaccines Production laboratory, described this achievement as a major milestone that will reduce reliance on imported vaccines and save foreign currency.
In a significant advancement for agricultural cooperation, Razi Vaccine and Serum Research Institute participated in the 8th meeting of the Iran-Turkey Strategic Committee, where it signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance collaboration in the research and production of vaccines and the export of biological products for humans, livestock, and poultry. This initiative aims to bolster Iran's position within regional markets.
On Sunday, January 5th, 2025, Razi Institute marked a significant milestone—its 100th anniversary—with a grand ceremony held at the Iran International Conference Center. The event drew a host of esteemed guests, including Dr. Gholamreza Nouri Ghezeljeh, Minister of Agricultural -Jahad; Dr. Gol Mohammadi, Deputy Minister and President of the Agricultural Research, Education, and Extension Organization (AREEO); Dr. Alireza Rafiei Pour, President of the Veterinary Organization (IVO); and Dr. Zahra Behrooz Azar, Vice President for Women and Family Affairs. Also, it is worth mentioning that in attendance were Dr. Alireza Monadi Sefidan, Chairman of the Education, Research, and Technology Commission of Parliament; Hojatoleslam Val-Moslemin Rabbani, Supreme Leader's Representative in the Ministry of Agriculture- Jahad; and Dr. Abbas Shafeie, a prominent scientist and veteran of Razi Institute. The gathering included directors, experts from Razi Institute, and leading figures in the field of vaccine development.
